Tyrese Haliburton Debuts Signature Puma Hali 1 Sneaker
Tyrese Haliburton, the NBA star, is making waves not just on the court, but in the sneaker world. After signing with Puma at the start of the current NBA season, he's already launching his very own signature shoe: the Puma Hali 1. This big reveal comes just before Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals, a strategic move to showcase the shoe on one of basketball's biggest stages.
Over recent weeks, Haliburton has been building excitement for the Hali 1, teasing it on social media and unveiling his unique signature logo, which also appeared on a new t-shirt.
The design of the Puma Hali 1 was led by renowned designer Salehe Bembury. Bembury gained fame through his work with Yeezy and Versace, and more recently, his successful independent collaborations with New Balance and Crocs. His signing with Puma last summer to design their next signature sneaker now clearly points to this collaboration with Haliburton.
The Hali 1's design features a honeycomb mesh base for breathability, reinforced by TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) along the midfoot for support. It also includes two distinctive V-shaped toecaps and a tongue made from open-spaced mesh and suede. Puma's branding is subtly integrated into the lateral heel with a 3D design, while Haliburton's signature logo is prominently displayed on the tongue.
Underneath, the sneaker boasts a Nitro Foam-cushioned midsole, known for its comfort and responsiveness. This midsole has an organically shaped design that directly reflects Salehe Bembury's unique aesthetic, bearing a similarity to a Puma running shoe he previously designed.
The Puma Hali 1 is set to release in September 2025. It will be available through Puma's official channels and at select retailers, both online and in-store. As of now, the retail price has not been confirmed. Fans can get a first look at the "Hibiscus" colorway, and keep an eye out for Haliburton rocking the shoes on the court during Game 1 of the 2025 NBA Finals. This launch signifies Puma's continued commitment to re-establishing its presence in the basketball footwear market, aligning with rising stars like Tyrese Haliburton. For Haliburton, it marks a significant milestone, solidifying his status as a prominent figure both in the NBA and in sneaker culture.
