Actress and former ballet dancer Sonoya Mizuno is set to make her directorial debut with Stages, an A24 and Film4-backed feature. Inspired by her roots in the Royal Ballet School, the project signals her shift from muse to auteur, and features a reunion with longtime creative collaborator, producer Alex Garland.
